Certis Contributes to Digital Transformation of the Security Industry

Certis will partner a Singapore technology start-up as part of the Call for Innovative Solutions (CFIS), a joint initiative of Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Ministry of Home Affairs, to encourage technology providers to co-create new digital solutions with major security players.

Under the CFIS, Certis is the operational sponsor for Xjera Labs Pte Ltd to develop the Multi-Signal Surveillance Platform (MSSP) prototype. The MSSP aims to enhance security surveillance by making use of multiple modes, including video and audio, and in combination with artificial intelligence to detect anomalies.

“This solution is expected to reduce the work load of security officers and operation costs in managing a site,” said Li Lit Siew, Vice President, Certis Technology. “It contributes to operational efficiency and gives our customers a competitive edge, which is very much aligned with our Security+ approach."

He added, “With our technological innovations and our experience in the security industry, we are able to help upgrade the expertise of technology firms like Xjera. In return, we gain fresh ideas which may lead to other innovations. Ultimately, we may come up with better solutions that will benefit our customers.”

The MSSP was one of the four short-listed projects that were announced at the Security Industry Conference 2018 held on 3 October 2018, at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Ms Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower, was the guest of honour.
