SINGAPORE - Students from Republic Polytechnic (RP) may soon be given internship opportunities in Certis CISCO's fitness training arm. This and many other opportunities for collaboration are being explored as the two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at a ceremony held at RP on 3rd August 2011.

Guests from the two organisations gathered at RP to mark the occasion as Mr Charles Loh, Managing Director, Certis Management Services/ Security Services Group/ Certis CISCO Service Delivery System of Certis CISCO and Mr Seto Lok Yin, Deputy Principal (Industry Services) of RP signed the MOU. Mr Chua Chwee Koh, Chief Operating Officer of Certis CISCO and Mr Yeo Li Pheow, Principal of RP were the witnessing officers for the sealing of the alliance.

"In order to do even better, we know we need partners to help us enhance our capabilities. We are heartened to find such a partner in RP...We thank RP for the confidence placed in Certis CISCO and look forward to a fruitful win-win partnership," said Mr Loh in a speech during the signing ceremony.

The MOU signing paves the way for possible internships at Certis CISCO for the students from RP's School of Sports, Health and Leisure (SHL), joint research programmes in the areas of sports training methodology and reductions of sports injury and the ability to leverage on SHL's ten different sports research laboratories for research among many other areas of joint synergy currently being explored.
