5th October 2016

Mr Loke Chee Meng, a Certis associate at the National Gallery Singapore, recently received the “Best Customer Service for Attractions” award from President Tony Tan Keng Yam, at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2016. Mr Loke was recognized for going beyond his call of duty through his deep passion and rich knowledge of the exhibits.

Organized by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the Singapore Tourism Awards brings together Singapore’s tourism sector to celebrate exceptional individuals and organizations.

“Never did I expect to win an award of such significance and high profile. I am extremely honoured and happy about it,” said Mr Loke.

Mr Loke also shared about his experience meeting Ms Chng Seok Tin, a famous artist whose works have been featured at the National Gallery. Mr Loke was able to use his artistic knowledge to describe the rhythm and tonal variation of several art pieces with Ms Chng, who was visually impaired.

When asked about unpleasant experiences, Mr Loke said that he stays positive by channelling his passion and placing himself in his customers’ shoes.

Not only will Mr Loke be rewarded with an all-inclusive trip to Hakodate Hokkaido, Japan, by STB, he will also be receiving a cash incentive by Certis.

Mr Loke’s deserving win has put forth Certis’ name in the hospitality industry. We congratulate Mr Loke on his achievement!
