Best Sourcing seminar jointly organised by Certis CISCO and Union of Security Employees (USE)
8th October 2015

Certis CISCO and the Union of Security Employees (USE) jointly organised a seminar titled “How to Procure Security Services through Best Sourcing”. The seminar aimed to share with security buyers and people from the security industry on the importance of Best Sourcing and how it impacts businesses.

Held at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 8th October 2015, Mr Zainal Sapari, Assistant Secretary-General of NTUC and Chairman of Security Tripartite Cluster gave the opening speech on what Best Sourcing is all about.

Graced by Mr. Chan Chun Sing, Secretary-General of NTUC and Minister in Prime Minister's Office, the seminar also included speeches by Mr. Steve Tan, Executive Secretary of USE, Mr. Martin Baptist, M3 Principal Consultant of Certis CISCO and Mr. Tristan Sim, Head of Certis CISCO’s Integrated Operations Centre.

The main event highlight was a plenary session, where Mr. Chan Chun Sing urged security buyers to ensure their security agency embraces the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) and provide reliable, quality services. He especially called on the public sector, being major buyers of security services, to take the lead and focus on outcome-based sourcing to improve their operations and reduce reliance on manpower. After the insightful seminar, participants were invited on a tour around Certis CISCO’s latest technology and e2i’s booth displays.

Attended by around 200 participants, the seminar was indeed an eye-opener for all the security buyers and people from the security industry present.
